The uncertainty over the easing of lockdown has delayed the Spring Newsletter to allow us to set the date of this year’s AGM, when we hope more than 30 people will be able to meet inside. We wanted to allow time for members to catch up with friends and family as a priority, and with summer holidays and Hurst Festival fast approaching too, we have taken the decision to hold the AGM on the afternoon of Saturday, October 2nd 2021.
AGM 2020
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Society’s AGM had to be postponed in March and again in August. Having taken appropriate advice, we have organised an AGM via paper voting to deal with the formal business.
Members’ newsletters, which will be arriving very shortly, include further information, together with the Chairman’s annual report and a proxy voting form to vote on the usual AGM proposals. The 2019 financial accounts and report are shown on the reverse of the voting paper, and below are the minutes of the 2019 AGM.
The proxy voting form has a space for comments and questions, and a member of the committee will respond if required.
In order for there to be a useful conclusion to the AGM, it is necessary for at least 30 members to return proxy voting forms. PLEASE VOTE and return the form by 22nd September as advised at the end of the form.
